When I was there Monday we looked everywhere for them, but could not find them. If I can't make it this Sat you think you could pick up a few for me. Maybe Kil could mail some to me. I'm looking for hooks in same size as 6/0 and 7/0 Kudaku

Ok, I will let Kil know. How many of each size? The 9/0, 10/0 and 11/0 JM Monster hooks are all as wide as the 6/0 Kudako hook so let me know which specific ones you would like for me to put aside for you. The 9/0 is a little shorter than the 6/0 Kudako hooks so can that in mind.

Brian I am going to try to make it up there again this Sat as well if it is raining. If no rain then I have to work. If you get them with out me then I'll take 4 packs 9/0, 3 packs 10/0, 2 packs 11/0. I wonder if Kil has pay pal account, or we can meet and I can pay you if you front. I'll talk to Kil to see how he wants to handle. I really appreciate it. Pick up a couple packs on me for your help.

Hey Trav

Will do. I will right your hook order down when I drive up tomorrow. I'm meeting Kil with my friend Nick at 9AM at his shop and driving into NYC for some Chinatown dimsum on saturday just to let you know. You are more than welcome, but it is a litte early on a saturday to drive from PA so I understand if you couldn't make it.

Kil doe not have a paypal (as of now) for his shop. He prefers you to write him a check.

Hey Trav

Met Kil at his shop today. He didn't have any JM hooks ....for sale since he was using the ones he had. lol. But he did say some would be shipping in with the October JM order. However only in the 11/0 size.

We went to Chinatown and had a great Dimsum brunch. I think Nick has found a new favorite food We spoke about all kinds of fishing from fluke, to cod to tuna and African GT. After eating, we went back to Kil's shop and spoke more about some of the lures and tackle and got into talking about wind-on leaders. Immediately, Basil Papas' name came into the discussion and 30 minutes later, we were at the man's house talking to the legend of hollow core spectra!!! It was a surreal feeling to say the least, but he was a very nice guy (fellow Jersey man!) who explained a lot of the type of fishing he does with us. The photos and stories he has of 300+lbs YFT off of the Baja Coast were amazing. We even showed us an email of one of his friends that landed an easy 120lbs+ GT Another thing.....that man can make a wind-on leader before I can tie a knot lol. He's no doubt the best at what he does.

All in all, I can say I had a fun saturday. It was like a damn adventure lol.

Hey Trav

I stopped by Kil's this past tuesday night and he's got some of the JM 11/0 hooks in stock (and that's the only size he has right now). They are nice looking, SHARP hooks, but not as big as the Shout Kudako/Power Assist hooks. The bigger, the better in my opinion, but that didn't stop me from buying a pack still

He says JM will be coming out with bigger hooks soon.

Cool, they sound nice. I PMed him to have him send me out a JM handle for my Baker reel and some rod socks, I'll see if he can ship me some of those too. I think he's busy lately trying to fish or something.
