    Making some Assist Hooks

The line is 200lb Jerry Brown Hollow Core. The hook is a Gamakatsu Heavy Duty Live Bait in 7/0.

    My supplies:

Pulling the double line the full length.

I knocked off about half a dozen in 20 minutes. I also colored some of the white JB line with a red sharpie. Also, the snell is hit with a drop of Zap prior to putting on the heat shrink tubing.

    More pics coming.............

    sharpie the hook point

    John,
While you have the sharpie out put a little on the point to keep the rust off.

So, does the double line go all the way through the snell?

Yes, the double line goes all the way through the snell. There's basically no chance of the loop pulling out this way.

I used by drag scale to test the strength of this design. It bottoms out my 50lb brass scale.

Paul708: I'll have to measure those things. I don't know.

I'll bet it would bottom out a 100lb hand scale. Nice job.
