Another vote for the bucktail. Tipped with meat if need be.
I have found that often when peanuts don't want to eat and hold tight in a school it's because a big something is around keeping an eye on 'em.

finding a big raft o'weeds or working weedlines sometimes i'll break out a big pencil popper with all the hooks removed and cast way up in the weeds then rip it back out past the edge and have lots of dorado following it for other anglers on the boat to cast at'em
i've also done this from the front of the boat while trolling a weedline and pulled'em out where they'd starting knockin down lures in the spread...........
try it sometime....... especially if it's real hot and they're lazy or the just don't wanna come out from under that grass for whatever reason
Years ago we used to pull a big green and yellow Boone teaser off the cleat. One day while casting to peanuts on a ball I untied the teaser and used it to draw them back into the boat by swinging it over my head and heaving it as far as I could, then chugged it in by hand. I kept the school for an hour doing that.

Bucktails tipped with squid works everytime! Sometimes if they are around the boat it helps to throw some meat out also to keep them interested. Depending on how many there are throw about 5 cigar minnows cut in half. but BEWARE YOU CAN OVERFEED THEM!
Good luck![]()
About any kind of plug will do but also if you have outboards trim your motors up and give her the fuel. The commotion of slinging water everywhere will bring them back to the boat. I guess the splashing turns them on.
