Yes i use clear 2 part epoxy, generally what ever i have laying around. I've used rod finish, 20 minute, and lately been using bar table top finish. The vacuum sealer is a food saver. I got mine at Kohls its a store here in the states. Ebay should have them, and they also sell bags. The bags are like a ziplock type bag in a roll. You seal one end and cut to length. THe realeaser I use is made by Amazing Putty. You can purchase it at UScomposites.com they sell resins, releasents, fiberglass, everything. I use the releasant spray when I pour plastic lures in RTV molds.

Let me know if you need any links.

    Hello again,

Sorry for all the questions regarding this but I would really like to get this method clear as I am keen to use it.
So, am I right is saying that you first place the reflective stickers on the lead jig then coat the jig with the epoxy, then you put it in a vacuum sealer bag still wet?
Could you tell me the make and model of your vacuum sealer, do you have to but canisters separate for it?
Do you wait for this to dry before the next step?
The next step (resealant) is unclear to me, do you cut off the vacuum bag then apply something else?

    Thanks for all your help.

    Ian.

I love using glow jigs at depth and at night. Helps tremendously.

No problem for the questions, thats what these sites are for.

First we use the reflective paper sheets. Take about 5 jigs or what ever you want to do. Cut the paper in a size to cover the jigs leaving a gap between the jigs. You need 2 pieces of prism paper if you want to do both sides. (Maybe start with 1-2 jigs 1st) Spray the bag with releasant, it goes far you dont need much. Coat the jigs with epoxy. Lay the jigs on the prism paper then lay the other prism on the top. Slide the jigs in the bag or you can do this in the bag what ever you like. Then suck out the air and seal.
Let it sit over night or couple hours depending on epoxy used. After its cured cut open the bad, then use a razr knif to cut off the extra prism between the jigs. I then recoat the jigs with another layer of expoxy and let them drip dry.

    I hope this helps.

Let me know if anyone finds glow prism paper in larger sheets, not the rolled up tape. Thanks

You can never go wrong with glow/luminous. I like a splash of color along with it though. Glow with yellow, blue, pink or orange.

never got one yellowfin on a mainly glow jig at night in the GOM. all blackfin. hammered diamond jigs have yielded the most yellowfin for me (i.e. the chrome you mentioned). Some other jigs with LESS glow paint have also worked well. all in all its tough to stay away from blackfin on jigs regardless.
