Little help on a wreck site in NC PLEASE!

I am riding on a newbie to jigging's boat and they don't have a thru hull 1KW transducer and I also haven't made the upgrade on our boat yet either. I have tried to find the PanAm (offshore of Big Rock) using different charts and searching all over and I couldn't mark anything, probably because of the transducer issue. Anyways, I would love to drop a few times on it Monday to see if any snowy's are around, or anything else, so if someone has some accurate numbers that I can use to make a couple drops in case we can't pick anything up on the sonar, I would GREATLY appreciate it. You can PM them to me if you like. I will post a report with pics on Tuesday/Wednesday (as time allows since I'm taking a day off of work for the trip). Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

i found the coords to it on the supermap on FPT but that probably will not help you find the actual wreck

yeah, thanks, I have searched for it on the charts I have, but haven't been able to find it while on the water. I am really interested to know if its because the numbers aren't dead on and I just haven't been over it, or if I am not finding anything because I haven't upgraded to the 1KW transducer yet. Thanks though!

i know that the numbers on a wreck in deep water offshore of the nipple were off almost a mile when we were looking for it, luckily someone on board had better coords and we were able to find it.

maybe you will get lucky and stumble onto it tomorrow, but thats a LONG way to reel up empty hooks. i would be hard pressed to drop a jig to the bottom in 600-800' of water blindly.

Yeah, its a real pain to reel up jigs fishing blindly in that deep water. That's why I was hoping someone that had marked it before could help. Thanks for responding though mark. Hopefully I'll have a good report to post up.

Thanks, thats what my grease chart gave me, but I haven't marked anything there. Have those numbers marked anything for you?

    does it matter?

    One question.

How does one go bottom fishing without a machine that reads the bottom? That's like going to the races without beer.

when one is so addicted to jigging, they will drop jigs anywhere its hard to get much action on the jig in a toilet bowl, and when i drop them in the swimming pool at my apartment i always scare every one away.
