i use 20 feet of 80 floro tied to the braid with a mid knot then tie the jig direct

That midknot is somethin else. I have never tied it myself but I have seen arlen do a few and we could not pull it apart. It is a really strong knot and very slim but just a pain to tie.

I take my snap swivel from my 30# trolling outfit and snap the jig to it. I think is 50# mono.
