    lbs Test

Just got a Pe4 JM reel and like to spool it with Daiwa boat Braid. Just wonder if 80 or 100lbs are okay. I fishes from 90'to 200' targeting grouper,AJ and Snapper please let me know. Also want to pair it with JM power spell rod, but don't know if the 300 or 350 is beter, as for jig wise 5oz to 7oz most. Thank you in advance for the help

Gander, compare to power pro 65# is it much thinner even though its 70#? Also how much backing did you put on it?

reeltense.. I personally would go with a JM 3kings 200 special for that reel. Heaps of grunt and better for mj different weighted jigs(faster tapered rod than the PS models). 70lb Boat braid would be sweet.
    Nice setup

Kaveman, so 3king 200 special have enough back bone for grouper and Aj? Faster taper rod mean lighter right? thanks again

PP 65# and BB 70# are the same dia. 0.016"/0.40mm. BB braids seem to rate higher than other braids of similar dia. No backing, just some tape.

JM 200 3kings special handle a larger range of jig weights and lots more backbone than the PS models. They handle 60-70# kingfish here in NZ no problem
Fast taper rods are bit lighter but not as parabolic as PS models. they will handle 30#drag no worries

Mogi designed these to fish the 3kings islands where the fishing is exceptional and the fish brutal
