The next bite on a jig.
Braid on your reel - to mono/flouro leader
    ---------------------------
Bimini - loop to loop windon (my #1 preferred for jigging)
    Bimini - slim Beauty
    Bimini - SIG

I also will use the uni to uni connection. But I have also learned alot from reading G-Man's posts with a few tweeks. On my deep jigging set up, I use a 70 wrap bimini (70 wraps for braid only - 30 wraps for mono) to a wind on leader, either mono or flouro and direct tie (using a uni) to the solid ring on the jig.

On my popping set up, I use the 70 wrap bimini, but then I attach a swiveless snap using a catspaw (offshore swivel knot - line maintains integrity even with one strand of the doubleline severed). I pre-install my leaders with uni knot to the popper, and tie or crimp a loop for fast and easy connection to the snap.

Practice tying and test the knots before you go offshore, and you should not have a problem with them pulling out. There are several examples (pictures and video) online detailing how to tie these knots. Great way to kill time at home, and I find it therapeutic.

I hope this helps and I wish you the best of luck.
