    kevlar assist cord question

I googled kevlar cord to try to find something to use for making assist hooks. Can anyone recommend some specifications to look for as far as what kind to get? Is all kevlar cord created equal? I know it comes in different tensile strengths and I have a pretty good idea of what strength to get, I was just wondering if what I found is going to be as good as the assist cord you would get from a tackle shop.

He has it in 300# and 500#. I use the 500# it is the same as Owner uses for their monster stingers.

You can also find the stuff at rocket and kite shops too. I bought some 400# from my local kite shop.

thanks for the replies. It seems like if you can get it at a kite shop then the stuff I found online should be fine. How are the prices at Ron's tackle?

Thanks for that. They get today and will be sold out tomorrow. Just like the Owner hooks.

I can't wait till they restock my favorite jigs.
