Jigs & snapper rigs

I been playing around with my jigs and have added Mylar tubing and left my tag tails a little longer on my hook. The reason I want to put my jigs in with the cigar minnows, so that will help to hold the smell of the minnows. Our snapper rigs pre made 60 Lb. 7 strand wire 4 oz.weight 8/0 circle hook 3 X

Tim, I don't know about Texas but we have to use light mono or fluoro for snapper off Destin in the clear water.

Here in east coast Florida use fluro or mono and long leaders with small circle hooks like leader about 15 feet. I use as little weight as possible to get down

Northeast Florida we use ~6 foot mono leaders. (some use fluro but I have done best w Ande Pink). Then again, snapper are super easy to catch here now. Mango's we use longer leaders maybe 8-10 foot, and as he said, as light an egg sinker as you can get away with. Also good to walk your bait back in the current.

I ONLY use J hooks, some others use circles.
