jigging wrightsville beach NC

I am heading down to Wilmington the weekend of the 14th and will be bringing my 22' cc with me. I will be running out of Wrightsville beach. I am new to jigging but would like to get some in while I'm down there. Anyone willing to give some pointers?

There is a lot of good jigging in 160' of water just inside the MPA, but its a respectable run from a distance perspective. I think its in the 50+ mile range. With the water temps being high up, there will be jacks on all the inshore AR's, but with the water being shallower on those, they tend to respond better to poppers.

Sometimes small jigs will yield seabass and flounders on the inshore reefs as well. Just a matter of how far mother nature will let you run.
