    do you think the handle on spinner makes a differance

    The next bite on a jig.
    I think its set up so if you cast with your right hand, you can transition straight from the cast to cranking with the left.

    If your not casting, ie. dropping a jig or dropping a bait back to a billfish, then cranking with your left really makes no sense to me.

    I must be unconventional!

    I'm RH and have to wind a spinner with my RH, I'm too uncoordinated to do it LH. Butterfly jigging is very dependant on the winding hand syncronising well with the rod hand. Since my RH is the most coordinated, I will always use it.

    I also don't buy into the argument of using your strongest arm (RH) to hold/control the rod. The rod hand is usually outstretched when the weight comes on and only needs to pump the rod within the drag setting of the reel. This doesn't need high strenght.

    I almost never use a spinner anyways.

    i may try the right hand again this year
    but i really dont like the feel
    maybe after a few trips. i get use to it

    Yay! At least I'm not alone. This is exactly the way I see it....although I almost never use conventionals
