Jigging Snapper in Destin

Made it out again yesterday out of Destin to jig and had to stay in State waters, but the Snapper were chewing big time. The Aki jig from Eastern Tackle is a fish killer. The Snapper inhale them. We ended up with several dozen Snapper and kept 8 for a limit, released some in the 15# range after we had our limit. caught three Grouper and a few Ajs as well but they had to be released due to just a tad too small. I am hoping that this oil that is almost upon us doesn't take long to clean up so we can go slay some more.

Yes that aki jig is a hit. I have caught a number of grouper with it. Thanks for the info.
