    Jigging Rods

What kinds of rods are you guys using? Im fairly new to this type of fishing (and at the least, I am hooked), and just want to gain some info.

Im looking into getting a nice jigging rod, but there are sooo many different kinds; oti, penn torque, shimano trevala, etc... and sooo many price tags.

What are some that are out there you guys have experience with?

    Thanks in advance!

Do you want to build your rod or buy a factory rod? There are many many rods/blanks out there. I would decide what tpye of fishing you want to do first.
Consider water depth and currents, type of fish, how much you will use it etc.

    Then go for price range.

In theory the more money you allow the lighter the blank and better components.....in theory? Then theres custom built. I also say check out GMans post.

Hi Mike, nobody can check all rods/blanks in the market now. I even can not test all my rods/blanks I carry.
I hope to fish with you soon again.

I hear you Kil. But you gotta play to win.

Our paths will sync up again shortly. We're both chasing that same dang fish.

    Hey Mike
You got any pics of the RRT5840-ST blank bending. I'll be fishing with Ken in 2 weeks so I'd like to check them out. I'm always trying new rods. I may bring down a solid blank on the trip to test and see what that thing is all about. It is definately different and feels heavy as a blank but may balance well when built. We'll see.

You gonna be at the Somerset NJ expo this weekend?
