    Jigging Rod/reel selection

Hey guys I'm looking for some rod/reel combo suggestion. Here's what I'm looking for: I'm looking for a rod/reel that I can use for tuna, and some deep dropping. I'm not trying to break the bank but would like a good combo that would hold up to some nice size tuna. I'm up for using conventional or spinning gear. Any help would be much appreciated.

Depends on whether you are talking about big BFT or small/medium YFTs and blackfins. If you are targeting BFTs, most would suggest that if you are going to use spinning tackle, to use the Stella or Dogfight. That pretty much blows your being economical in your purchase out of the water. It is more economical to purchase a conventional combo that is capable of landing BFTs.

So we need to know exactly what you are targeting in order to suggest some good options.
