I've got the Get Strapped on my 30 Torium. I've only clipped it in a couple of times and it has done well. My Torium will pull over 35 lbs of drag and I had it locked down pretty tight both times . You'll want a rod with a good reel seat. I also did away with the plastic reel clamp and went with an all metal one to get a more secure attachment from the reel to the rod.

I haven't used them much other than making sure they fit and the can work when I need them. Primarily I got the "Get Strapped" stuff for my kids. I am still on a mission to get them their first tuna (BFT or YFT).

The "biggest" fish I have caught some far on your OTI rod and the Accurate is a 110 pound blueshark. I whipped that easily in under 3 minutes, so I didn't need a harness.

If I can get my boys on a 50 to 80 pound tuna, then they will need help. Their arms are good for about 10 minutes. Then they give out.

I'll let you know when it happens (if the tuna bite ever really goes off up here this year... whine, whine, wnine...).

Smoothie Carbontex drags. I am about past recommending this reel or the Trinidad though. A fishing buddy and I have been blowing the anti-reverse bearings out of these like crazy. Mine is in the shop for the 3rd time this year right now.

Noticed several different jigging reels have no place to clip on a harness when fighting a large fish. When jigging large blue fin does one not need the benefit of a harness? If so is there a clip that you can add to your rod for conventional reels that do not have this feature? I am interested in jigging bluefin but have no experience so thanks for any help in advance.

yeah i know about the torium.problems
just never saw that amount of drad.
all you did was change the washers?
what size trinadad is the anti reverse failing?
