    Jigging in Puerto Vallarta

A few questions for anyone who has caught yft in PV on jigs...
I have fished down there plenty and have in the past caught them on live bait and poppers, this time I would like to try to jig for them, especially if there are decent number down deeper....

Any guess on the best size, shape and colors?

I have a fairly decent arsonal of jigs but would rather not bring down way more than I need.

    Thanks in advance.....

short wide jigs, I would concentrate on anything under 6". Glow and pink works well anywhere. Just get ready for skiipies and Jacks they are everywhere

The next bite on a jig.
I sponsored Josh Temple on the Salty down there this year and sent down a bunch of stuff when the boat left Maryland.

Hopefully Mozz and the boys will chime in here with there experience so far.

I'll talk to Ryan on the Maximo when I get there. I think I am just missing JT as he is heading back up to the lower banks around the time I am coming down.

Never fished there, and sure would love to some day. But my theory is tuna are tuna, no matter where they live. I would take your favorite jigs that you have confidence in and let them fly. Just take enough to cover different depths depending where you are.
PS: I stink at travel with the jig bag, cause its never under 30lbs. Its tough to leave them at home.

LOL... Sucks when you go to weigh your bag at the airport.

Crackerjack, small fluttery type jigs. Come down to Maximo for a chat.
