I have a jigging master 350 power spell and Shimano Stella 20000. I have been looking at the Jigging Master power knob (round one). Does this offer any benefit over the stock shimano knob, other than looking bad arse?

I see the major benefit to round knobs being that it allows you to position your wrist in many angles. If you check out my video below, when the angler hooks up he can reel with his wrist straight like a hand crank. My alutecnos 12C has a semi-round knob and at first I didn't think I would like it because I had been using JM t handles. However now after using it, I actually prefer it.
Diawa Expedition (but it has the round knob like you are talking about, they come with them)
Thanks for the handle and knob info. Switching out my Gorilla this weekend. BB
I missed this post sorry. My first time using the aluminum power knob was on my Expedition Saltiga and loved it. Everything Jim noted is true. It is the most comfortable grip I used. I since then put them on my Stella 8000 and find it to be nicer than the stock knob. I did use the Carbon round knob on Gmans stella and really liked that also.
I think you will like it, is it neccessary? no, but its better.
