JIGGING MASTER BLANKS

Just curious these rods Jm 400 what is the lightest jig you could use on this stick, and still get some action, thanks for the web page by the way, this style of fishing I think is all in the rod blank not in the crank, this slays the fish, might be wrong, reel has to stand up to the game but the rod seems to do all the work , so pour your $ in the stick? Again might be wrong, but watching all the videos under the tip the fish are already slain floating, the rod beat them.

I agree with you on jig weights. The JM400 will handle 300g-500g jigs but loves the 370-420g especially.Of course that is with "mechanical jigging". Good luck

they are sweet..i just did a matching pair of 300g acid for a guy...very nice

The factory Power Spells and Terminators are both the same 5' lenght, The lighter 150g rods are 5'3" on both ranges. The only full lenght JM I had was a custom built rod which I quickly moved on after fishing with the shorter 5' rod.

There has been a lot of interest out of Japan for shorter rods. Hots make a 4' 8" spinning rod called the Wei World. Likewise JM have their 4'8" Power Spell 500 too. Lately, Smiths have brought out their really short 4'4" Mariana specials.

4'8" JM..havent cut one that much..

Yes I got the TC400g but these sold out rather quickly.

I am currently checking out a sample rod that is made OEM for me under my Jig Star brand. End result is a short JM-like rod that features all Fuji components including some understated bling components. I hope to retail these around NZ$400-450 (US$300-338).

i almost did OEM for blanks with a US company

Yes, but they are very high priced (in Super €uros) and not US greenback the currency of JM's shop.

Fishingbuddy.com.sg in Singapore sells them at reasonable prices. I think Singapore doesn't have any import duties/taxes.
When I checked the 500g JM Power Spell, I felt there is no reason for custom JM rods unless you want different length as they are beautifully made and well balanced.
I ordered many blanks from JM for custom rods, but I am going to tell my customers to buy JM rods instead of custom rods unless they want specific rods for them.
