    Jigging Lure Choices

I'm heading to Costa Rica for some offshore/Near Shore fishing. any ideas as to a few choices for jigging lures? Color and weights would help also.
    Thanks, Kahi

I'm not sure which ones that I would reccomend you take, but I know the ones that I wouldn't....and those would be the butterflies....we brought a bunch to do some jigging last January and probably lost 3 or 4 because the bottom was so nasty- we'd drop down, engage the gear, and were instantly caught. It got expensive to say the least. For midwater stuff you'd probably be fine- just something to consider.

I hear what you're saying. Did you bring them to Costa Rica? or just another nasty bottom place? The Shimano Butterflies are really expensive, picked up some variations and cheaper copies. Kahi

Yeah, we were in Quepos...or actually we left from Quepos and ran south about 20 or so miles. Hammered the cubera on slow trolled livies and decided to try some jigging....lost a few of those and decided it was time to get the livies going again
