Jigging in the Lindy

Jigged off and on all night mostly when we marked the fish good. Ended the night with 2 long fin and 3 yellow fin to lbs. Total for the boat was 18 long fin and 12 yellow fin. I was jigging with one of Paul's custom acid wrapped jigging Rod with a Penn 16vsx. I was amazed when I threw the drag up to strike by the amount of drag I could put on the fish with this combo. I know the real is a little heavy for jigging but it is lighter then the 50's we used to use.

Sorry No pics Paul the fog was so bad I never got the camera out. We were using butterfly and diamond jigs.

B.C. wait till you try a reel thats about 13-16oz lighter on that rod, with the same amount of drag

compare weight of the Diawia saltiga 50 and the accurate 665 2spd to the penn..i think the penn weigh 41 and the diawia and accurate come in around 25-26oz

paul makes some awesome rods i expermented witha tog rod he made me.. well lets just say it handled bluefin up to 140 pounds with no problem yeah it took a little longer to get to the boat with the little trinidad 16 i had on there but it got the job i got some pictures to prove it when i get some more time i will post a couple pics for you guys to enjoy...
