Hi Guys

Welcome! PR is beautiful, we're not from there but we do like to visit, how's the fishing?
Thanks
The island is surrounded by 2 bodies of water, Atlantic ocean and the Caribbean sea,and we are right next to the Puertorican trench, wich is one of the deepest places on earth.
So we have very deep waters in some places in less than 1/4 mile we have the 600 feet line, plus warm water year around.
Lots of wahoo, mahi mahi ,tuna and big blue marlins.
Can't complain.
Sounds great, nice fish in your pic
Isn't Mario from there.
Welcome. Carom is in PR. And Captain Mike "Sunburn" Buffington was in PR for a while. Here's an oldie. Tarpon fishing with Buffington and Carom

WELCOME TO SFC
i am sure you will be able to hook up with some people in PR
Saludos Roberto!
Im Mario from Vega Baja, i went with Eduardo and Danny Sosa to Vieques where we catch a 70 pound wahoo in february. I also used to post in a pescar forum but since they make a new facebook group, fewer people are visting the site. anyways i had learn so much from this site, there are many people here who know what they are talking about. i usually dont post much but believe me that almost everythig that i know about jigging is from here. I really appreciate watching posts of another boricua in this site. Also Chef Cedric Taquin has an account here, he has a restaurant in Arecibo called MenTa. Hope to see more people joining this site so everyone can share some pics and experiences.
Thanks Guys, this forum looks awesome.
Mario, I also read Ricardos forum, and yes,
facebook seems to have killed many other forums,
things will keep changing, internet wont stay still.
I live in San Juan, but for over 15 years i have
hunted wahoo and other pelagics with spearguns
on a breath hold, jigging came to us with Jose Caban,
and it has been a lot of fun.
I just happen to know were the fish are and am going to give
it a good try on jigging this year.
