Think about that paint. You put it on everthing else outdoors and even if you made a couple dozen you could AFFORD to repaint and re-hook at seasons end(or even during) for low $$!
Seems pretty cost effective to me if they catch and this kind of thinking and inovation is what it's all about!

I have used this paint method for years with regular diamond jigs for blues and stripers. Usually with whatever paint is lying around and most of the time without the clearcoat.

You usually lose them before most of the paint wears off. I decided to go with the Krylon this time because it dries fast and the clear was compatible with it.

Looks good. Have you had the chance to soak it in the drink yet to see what type of action it has? Even off the dock to see what it looks like. Looking forward to a report using this jig you made.

Looks great. I prefer tail weighted jigs in that size but that will catch fish without a doubt. might be a bit harder to work but its worth a shot. we paint alot of our jigs over here. Try an all black one

Looks great ,I use inline sinkers and paint them .Some I'll flatten and some I use as is . And use a J hook with some bucktail . The work great on rock and cost about $.50 to make .

What I did was take a cod jig fresh out of a mold I have and stuck it in a 60 ton hydraulic press. Painted it, stuck some eyes on then a clear coat.

The original jig was cylindrical in shape with a taper at both ends. Could also be used as a trolling weight.

After that put on a Eastern Tackle assit hook and done. The finished jig ends up being 440g. What do you guys think?? Be honest. See any problems with the design?

it looks pretty sexy for aj's and other stuff
