    Jig color choice

To date; what has been your most productive color choice? The one that always seems to work the best... I think hot pink seems to catch me the most, and biggest AJ's...

Hammered silver followed closely by hot pink in my experience.

Try and remember one thing, color does not catch fish..Fish hit jigs on sheer instinct. What makes a successful jig is the action produced by the jig and the angler fishing the jig hense the way the jig is presented to the fish. This is one reason the Hammered Diamond Jig has been so sucessfull for so many years and is the go to jig for many fisherman who have been in the game for many years..I have been in this industry for over 25 yrs and have tried more jigs than I can remember and Im not saying the new style jigs don't work but why they work is because of there action and presentation..There are a few jigs I recommend, 8oz Hammered Diamond Jig in Gold and Silver a 7.5 oz Hammered jig this one is more flat sided with a diffrent action than the 8oz and also a Hammered Viking style Jig. Put these in your collection and test them yourself you'll be suprised with the results...

I wish that were correct. I could carry a bunch of different shapes in one color. Great for inventory, but color does matter and have proven it over and over with a hit on the first drop of a new color.

Like I said, I wish it didn't matter. But it does.

I think it depends on the species.

Send me for Tuna anywhere on the globe and i would venture to say a hammered diamond would put some blood on the deck.

Reef/Wreck fishes, that i'll admit is a whole new ballgame. I've been down there diving and there's a whole variety of colorful stuff for fishies to eat, so it makes sense.
