    A.J.'s and Jigs

Finally managed to get offshore after a long bout with windy and cold conditions. The Reef Donkeys were hungry and just waiting to pounce on our Bomber Butterfly jigs.
Good day with great people. We managed to release close to fifty fish, with many in the 40 lb range.

Yes, it was fun, and yes, it took a day or two to work the sore muscles out. We fish between Sarasota and Englewood.

Nah, no need to run that far. The past two trips have been absolutely packed with A.J.'s from 10-50 lbs. The weather has been so bad lately that there has been no fishing pressure on anything. These things were incredibly thick. It was awesome !!!

Howd you like the bomber jigs? Just took a look at them yesterday. Nice looking jigs but a little pricey. Have any issues with the hooks? Seemed like they could be a touch larger.

In all honesty, I strongly feel they are worth the little bit of extra money. The finish holds up significantly better than any others I have used. I have never (knock on wood) had a single problem with the hooks, or the hook size.
"Good is not cheap, and cheap is not good"- I am a firm believer in this...
