    islamorada jigging?

    Does anyone have any tips for jigging in Feb. in Islamorada?

    Forget the jigging and fish for sails.

    Or take a chance on the weather (always spotty in Feb) and plan a trip to the hump for AJ's and blackfin, with an outside chance at wahoo

    i second the humps - depending on the boat you can make it out there in half-shi**y weather.

    set up so that you drift across and your first drop hits right winward(up current) side of the hump. then jig across the peak. i had good luck with the blackfin.

    I for sure enjoy sailfishing down there, i also like meat fish once in a while. thanks for the humps advice,I seem to always catch ajs, guess i'll run into the blackfins sooner or later.
