    indian river inlet DE??

    flying up to DE on wed to do some hydro surveying just out of indian river inlet. i am gonna be there for about 3 weeks so im gonna bring a couple of jigging rods and my 10' surf rod. i am guessing bluefish and stripers are gonna be the inshore fish up there? can any of you guys from up that way give me some tips on what to use and where to fish?

    On the outgoing tide stripers are at the end of the jetty. You will see the birds and the fish breaking the surface.You can use bass assasins or BKD. There is a tackle shop just north on rt 1 and one in the marina.

    thanks for the info.

    looks like i will only be working 1 out of every 3 days i am up there so maybe i can hop on a boat and go out of ocean city as well.

    A good striper spot is as close to the coast Guard wall as you can get on an outgoing tide. Good Luck!!!

    is a stradic 5000 with 30# power pro gonna be enough for the stripers around there?

    It should be. My son caught a 36" 15lb'er there with 30 pound test and other than wearing him out, the rod and line faired well!!!

    as far as surf fishing , 3rs are good, if you are around this weekend, should be over at north shore inlet, foolish pleasure is the name on the boat.
