$230 for 20H and $240 for 30H. I have a 20H on order. Can't wait to beat on it.

The new 20H will be the same size as the current.

FIELD TEST ON SALTIST 2 SPEED

Sorry to dredge up a month old thread, but what's the verdict on the Saltist two speed? Does it fish as good as it looks?

Best Catch: The next bite on a jig.
They won't be actually released until Icast on July 15th. I will add to this that I have had a chance to field test the alutecnos and it is twice the reel my saltiga will ever be. Smooth as silk. I liked them so much, I will add them to my site.

I still think saltist and saltiga are awesome reels, but alutecnos is the next step up to premium.

My main experience with what I have used is this:

saltist - good
salitiga - better
alutecnos -best

There are a lot of reels I haven't tried, but I'm pretty good with the line up I have right now.

Sweet! I gotta get one of them - they are beautiful!! I'm glad I waited! If they were available with a pink or purple instead of the blue I'd be double HAPPY!! But these are still beautiful nonetheless & I want one or two or five Thanks for posting these!

ALUTECNOS

Yeah, I've heard they are awesome reels. Parent company makes precision aluminum parts for Ferarri, Volvo Penta, Bombardier & BMW, so you know they've got access to cutting edge tech. How's parts availability and do they have USA maintenance?

STOP!!!

If we let on that we like it, they will raise the price.

That thing is an ugly POS!!! I would never let 4 of them on MY boat.

I own a 12C now myself, so I gave a call because this is question I had, but forgot to ask.

Alutecnos can/will do annual service from their warehouse in Miami. They have a full time tech on staff and all parts are available right there at the warehouse. They said the standard turn is 5 days ( or less in some cases ). Standard labor rates apply, just like using a regular local annual reel service location.

They told me that they can also furnish your local shop with the diagrams and stuff. They said the reels are very simple inside. There are not a ton of pieces to the point that you may even be able to service them yourself.

Warranty issues would be handled by the tech in Miami and his warehouse of parts. I have to say, I feel like major issues would be uncommon, but they are setup to handle anything that would arise. The reality is that nothing is ever 100% perfect.

This is the answer I wanted. I recently asked about another new high end jigging reel and if service was available. The question was not even acknowledged. So I purchased the alutecnos. I have no regrets about the purchase and will add them to my site. They also have a bunch of other stuff like belts and fly reels and stuff that interest me personally.
