but paying 10$ a lb...holy fook batman.
Jim , I can remember a point in time when the Islamarda & Marathon Humps held GIANT Amberjacks! I also remember the commercial guys fishin them down . The resturaunts all sold Amberjack too.Hard to believe Amber's over the 100lb mark were although not Common but they were not rare either. Not knocken the Commercial guys for makeing a living just saying I can remember them out there fishin for them. I wonder if you pay extra for the Parisites![]()
do all ajs have parasites? in what part of the body are the parasites?
We catch one to keep and grill over the week while vacationing and just exercise the others. Great grilled using leftovers for fish taco's. Wouldn't pay more than $0.10 a pound for it.
We eat the shit out of them here, good on the grill. Why are they different there again Jimbo?
In my book. I was told awhile back, that MacDonald's used them as their "fillet o fish" sandwiches. I keep my limit when we catch them. Shake and bake baby, shake and bake. Frank
Yes sir, I'd like a chunk of the Amberjack you have on sale. The 3rd piece up from the right will do nicely. Quick question if you don't mind? Does the the little white thingy there count in the price per pound?
Seriously though, I typically don't keep them and just catch them for the tug but if you don't mind cleaning around the spaghetti, they do make a mean fish taco.
OK I'll bite. What is a fish taco??? Frank
