    Exclamation I was able to break my new rod built by JPR Custom rods!

    SIKE!!!!! This thing is a BEAR! and will catch any bluefin or shark that would be encountered on our coast BIG threshers included!I did my preliminary tests on the 400-800 G4 Carbon OTI blank and it performed flawlessly! I tested the bend by first tying the line to a heavy makita generator.Then did a dead lift test lifting a FULL 5 gal bucket of water weighing approx 42lbs off the ground 6-8inches and to my surprise the blank didn't break and the reel seat didn't move and the overall rod quality that PAUL (JPR) put into this rod is above any rod I have ever used.

    On another note he also revamped a few of my other favored rods by putting new gimbels,reel seats and hypalon aft grips and overall touching up the rods and they came out great as well.

    In closing,I would highly recommend JPR Custom rods and will be buying more from him.I woulden't say he is the cheapest rod builder around but the quality of the work will far exceed your expectations! and you do really get what you pay for! Well Paul,I tried to break the $500 OTI 400-800 G4,but thankfully I couldent! It would have been a hit in my pocketbook!LOL pics to follow of the rods.

    thats just the way he is.
    trying to get that blank is the hardest part
