Hot Jig

Having a small boat and only able to get 20 miles off Naples Fl. I have found the jig that works great for pulling up grouper. I have tried them all, but the 150g aki jig from Eastern tackle works the best for me. Just this weekend I took home a 21 red and threw back a 21 gag. I fish in 30 to 40feet and just lift it off the bottom and they hit. Just now I ordered three more. Just a little info for those of you like me not getting out to far.

I have been adding a stronger grouper hook in with those lately. Did you use the little snapper hooks or switch to the grouper hook. Just wondering what folks are doing, since I am giving them the option. I haven't heard any feedback other than the snapper hook string gives out on big fish (although I did land a 50lb jack on those snapper hooks last time out)

I have been using the snapper hooks. I thought about changing them out,but they seem to work fine.
