Looks to me like he repowered from 2 strokes to 4 strokes and the bracket wasn't able to handle the added weight difference. Ya'll were lucky to get in safely

The caulking you see was my buddy trying to some patch work while we were out there. HE had that stuff all over even hid face
Robja got that right he had 2 strokes but didn't add the brackets until he got the 4 stokes I figure the boat is designed to have engines on a certain way and the new ones where mounted to far off the boat and ha to much weight. He has a guy said will fix for 12500 going to reinforce it all the way up the stringers I don't know I think he should look for a hull and switch things over

I was off Vancouver Island last year on an old Grady White when I felt something 'give' with the transom-note I was just a passenger.
Then the the guide gave the back of the boat some serious looks @ the end of the trip but it looked fine.
Later I looked @ pic of the thing taken that AM @ the dock-it's obvious it's just moments from disaster-last I heard it was for sale cheap.
