    Hoochie Hooks

I was making some windon's tonight and as I was walking by my tackle wall, a pack of pearl squids caught my eye. Since I already had the glue out, I thought what the heck.

    1. Trim off the tip of the squid to go over the ring (for stiff rigged hooks) You wouldn't need to do that with a flexi.

    2. Slip it down over the ring, going about 1/8 past where you want it.

    3. Drop of glue.

    4. Slide it back up and trim off the hair a little.

You guys are a couple years behind the Kaki's

I damn sure didn't come up with it, but those little squids with 1/2 oz egg sinker rigged in a mini chain are death on the tunas this time of year. I just can't stand to keep the boat in gear that long any more.

My hoochies (what a name, LOL) I made earlier in the year after seeing some in a jig report on another forum & I zoomed in to see what they were, then I made my own, lol::

I catch myself color-coordinating the skirts to the jig colors...

Took the pic and realized I have a rusty hook on this one, gotta replace asap:

I tried that once after a report I saw on here. The day I fished them was slow, so I didn't try it again. Has anyone else used them?

Well I tried them over the weekend ( the ones above in the pic ). I put one on and for two drifts everyone got slammed but me. It came off and I went back to catching.

Even though I have seen a lot of folks with them. I'm not confident in them. At least not yet.

I got a bunch of them little hoochies, love pulling them; don't know if I will be putting them on the assist hooks. Why not add some flash to the assist?
How about the tinsel under skirts? Nearly weightless, add a bit of flash. Nah, won't hold up.
Maybe add a touch of troll hair / flash ala fly or sabiki style to the hook before shrink wrapping?
    Its that time of year,
