High speed / low speed avet jx?

I'm getting conflicting opinions on proper gear ratio's for jigging. (6:1 or 4:1) Avet jx

i usually prefer the low gear for more power.
    a 4:1 or 5:1 is usually fine

Same here...I like somewhere in between 4-5:1 ratio. depends what you are using it for also though. You might want a little more power to pull a grouper out of the wreck, where as you might want faster speed when jigging through the water column and catching those fish. However...for me...I like it between 4-5:1 ratio for both applications.

slow slow slow for vertical jigging. My favorate ratio is 4.3:1. Too many jigs are burned through the water column. Make it dance and bites will increase. Poppers go for higher ratios.

No idea...I've always thought well of them. Never used one for jigging but been thinking about the jx lately.
