    Help Me Choose A Rod

I'm looking for 300g rod. I'm considering the OTI or the Jigging Master Terminator. I'm trying to stay under $300. If there are better options please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Butch

If it were me, I would go with OTI. Good warranty and good resale if you ever decide you need something different.

    Thanks,

I was leaning towards the OTI. A local shop has them in stock. I'd feel a little strange purchasing a rod online without being able to see and feel it.

That answers your question. Warranty from the shop and the manufacturer. Sounds like you can't go wrong.

I was facing the same question and went with the Lamiglas Tropic Pro and couldnt be happier. To date it has whooped some 100ish lb AJ's and a 150 lb bluefin in about 8 minutes. It's only $240, you should give it some thought.

You need to upload them. Looks like you tried linking them from your hard drive.

I don't have 300g JM Terminator anymore. All four 200g JM Terminator rods are accounted for as of now.
Guys who bought Terminator are very lucky guys because they are very hard to get. A guy I know who bought 300g Terminator 300g fought a 300 lbs shark with it and landed many nice AJ in NC last week.

OTI 400g jigging rods which will be introduced soon are going to be excellent rods for big AJ or tuna. I am not a fan of thick grip of old OTI jigging rods and I asked to TJ of OTI so many times to have thinner grips as Japanes jiggind rods use.
I think I got my wish as I was told they use thinner grips for the new rods.

I've got the 300 g OTI and love it. It's a pretty versatile rod. Probably from the same shop you are looking at. I have not had the pleasure of handeling a Jig Master though.
