    Hatteras 18FEB09 Blackfin

    We had a very small window, but we made it count...



    35 pounds, caught 2 cranks off the bottom, never marked a thing, no bonita, no baitfish, and the surface temp was a brisk 44 degrees.

    We also had some Aj's and Bonitosof course), dropped some cutbait to the bottom and got about 2 doxen bass and 1 tilefish.

    Lure of choice (lost the hook on another bite on the next drop)




    back on the trailer by 1300, just before the wind really showed up!

    i beleive the NC State record is 38 lbs if I'm not mistaken

    man thats a nice one!

    thats getting close to the state record, a few years back my buddies caught the state record but didnt check til they had ate it!!! anyway it has been surpassed now......but i bet it woulda tasted better knowing it was the record. im bringing wasabi and soy next time out and if get one, cut me out some fresh sushi on the spot! nice catch capn, we getting out soon as the wind lays down.
