    Good PR knot write up

I am new to jigging. I need to learn the PR knot as everyone keeps saying its the way to go. I found this site and thought I would share.....

It is step by step with pictures.

It's a pain to tie, but nothing goes through the guides easier that I have seen. Tough to tie on the water if you ask me. I was wondering if it would make sense to tie some of these in advance leaving a few feet of braid to tie to, keep them coiled, and if you get a breakoff or chaffed leader, tie a low profile uni to uni or similar knot from the braid to the wind-on flouro/leader.

i think maybe the less knot connections in your line, the better you will be.

I would suggest wind-ons over this method. Mainly for strength, but also for simplicity.

With wind-ons are you tying a bimini then a simple loop to loop from the bimini to the wind-on? Exactly how to you make this connection?
    Thanks.

Exactly. I make about a 4" loop using a bimini, then do a loop to loop. Then I use 100 lb jinkai windon which has about a 1" loop. No failures at the connection all day on Saturday.

I got these Australian ones that are sweet. http://shop.easterntackle.com/produc...5&productId=27
