Lmao yeah I thought it was girlish to until you have a 100 pound frieght train ripping braid off your reel with 25 pounds of drag it's not to finger friendly especially if you get hit on the drop with a spinner or your thumbing your conventioal spool
Glen,
I don't wear gloves unless its cold, but here is my contribution to your wonderful thread.
Diving Gloves - are great for fishing. They are build to be tough, fit better than a lot of different types of gloves for more dexterity under water. They come in many different thickness from light to heavy. Designed to be wet.
Glen, excellent writing. I am sure it helps lots of fishermen who start jigging and popping as well as saves unnecessary time and money to get what they want.
I am going to encourage fishermen who attend my jigging seminars in LI this Saturday to read this.
Nice write up dude!! This type of post takes alot of time. Good work.
You forgot to mention one thing though..........
There is no good jigging in NJ or NC so don't waste the time!!! LOL just joking!! I'm sure this will help with many learners as jigging is really starting to take off.
We are back in Cape May spending all most all my free time with my family and 4 young grandchilden. The boat is at Crown Marine in Deltaville, VA for annual maintainence and upgrades. Will be bringing it up to Cape May towards the end of April to start our season up here. Really enjoy all this great information about jigging that is available on SFC these days.
I am seriously considering purchasing some additional jigging gear this season but am worried about this economy and how it will effect our summer charter business but I really love them new Stellas.
Regards
Capt John
