We got blown out last weekend in NC, so we were bored and drinking a little so the creative thoughts started
Hotel part ... well we were bored no other good explanation
The Lake part is a good indication on casting poppers including motion and distance that you can achieve the lake was really wide

Awesome AWESOME AWESOME thread. We'll have to link up this summer and spill some blood on the deck bro. I am exit 58 and run a 30' Albemarle with twin Diesels.

Another great educational thread, thanks for taking the time to put it together.
I have never saltwater surface fished, I feel you put all the information needed for someone to go out and enjoy this style of fishing.
I just got bit by the jigging bug and don't think the check book could handle me taking up surface casting right now, but I do see it in my future.
Thanks again for putting in all the time and effort to share this information.
Another great thread!!!!!
Nice job!![]()
Glen,
Thanks again. This will answer alot of questions for a lot of fisherman.
You're from the Cape Cod area? I'm headed up that way this summer for wedding and bringing my boat. I will be a little south of that around Block island. I have never fished up that way. Hope thier will be some dumb fish around to play with.
Thanks again for the great info,

Nice Job Glen. I've been toying with the idea of getting a poping set up. Thanks for all the work!!
Thank you for taking the time to do these jig/pop articals. I am a newbie to the salt scene with a limited budget and you gave a lot of valuable information. Currently I don't have a heavy spinner or popping rod but now have something to think about. From my freshwater fishing I know nothing is more exciting than watching a big fish crush a topwater plug.
Nice post man. Very informative. Who do you fish with in Costa Rica? Any recomendations?
