    Getting started

Any thoughts on Daiwa Boat Braided line(Dendoh)? I have a Saltist 40 with a upgraded Carbontex drag , I also am having JPR custom rods build a Jigging rod for me as well. I am just getting started in jigging and I have alot of questionsI am considering useing the Daiwa Boat Braid(PE60). Does anyone out there have any likes or dislikes about this Braid?I am mainly interested in Yellowfin tuna , but wouldn't mind the possibility of a BFT within reason.

I used PE6 Daiwa braid all summer with no problems. I just put Daiwa PE8 on my Expedition, only because it is capable of something like 60lbs of drag. Since I will probably try to find out if that is true I went ahead with the heavier line, since DBB doesn't have the strength they advertise, but still very good line that I would buy again. Samuri is the same, but not color marked, so it is not as stiff.

That Expedition will handle PE8 all day long tuna after tuna. I love that reel. Have many many 80-100lb tuna on that reel and fished 30lb drag on alot of ocasions. I did have to replace the drag washers after 1 season. Simple to do, went with dry carbotex washers.

Honestly, i just use Jerry Brown marked every 20 ft. or so with a laundry pen. Haven't bought into that fancy schmancy colored line yet.
