    Do you crimp or tie a knot? What kind of knot do you tie?

    The next bite on a jig.
    I used a Uni over the weekend. Didn't have any failures. I wasn't using flouro, instead I was using jinkai windons, but should be close enough.

    I always tie a loop knot so the jig can work more freely

    I can tie FC up to 160lb to the ring. Heavier and I crimp. When crimping, I like to use a protective sleeve of a thimble.

    Chris: How are you connecting your leader to you braid off the reel? Im very new to this deep water jigging so excuse me for asking..

    Also; I dont recognise the fish in your avatar? Some kind of Jack?? Where do you live & fish?
