Had Jimmy, Andrew and 2 new anglers Nick and George down from NY with www.bookfishingtrips.com for a great day for jigging. The weather window looks like 1 day so we made the best of it and left very early and came back late. Started in 280 feet for tuna at 1st light but not much action. Decided to move inshore a little and found the AJs hungry and mean as usual. Nick and George found out quickly how much they pulled. Worked hard all day and had constant action. Finally, found the Cobia in the afternoon and did outstanding with 7 fish between 20 and 55 lbs. Andrew caught the largest at 55 lbs. Jimmy also had the touch and caught a couple nice 40 lbers. At the end of the day we caught 2 giant Africans. Jimmy had a 36 lber and Nick a 35 lber to finishing the long day. The winds picked up hard NE for the ride in but an outstanding day of fishing.

    Great catch..... and pictures....
How far off the coast are you running to find the Cobias??? Are they hitting the same Jiggs as the AJs?

    Thanks for any info,
