    I'm in Daytona Beach, FL. area,,, the grouper are starting to bite and I want to try these out for when they really start in Feb. and March.....

    Just to let you know. Grouper are closed in the Atlantic from January through April. They are closed in the gulf in February and March. I'm sure they will be biting good, but you can't keep 'em.

    a quick question? if you dont mind

    how to the Dry Tortugas get classified? dependent on N or S of the islands? I will be fishing these areas in March, so it would behoove me to know

    I believe you have to have a Florida fishing license to fish the Tortugas, I know you do to fish the national park there, meaning you have to abide by Florida's regulations so the same closings apply. Also, if you are docking in Florida you would have to abide by the regulations there.
