    First AJ Jigging

I'm just starting to jig easying my way into it slowly. I've caqught Gags, Snapper, and Black Sea Bass up to this point.

The way we fish is troll in the morning mark any bottom we like than bottom fish in the afternoon. That has worked out pretty well for us so far. The rest of the guys, and my son bottom fish with bait and I jig.

Long story short I got my first AJ yesterday on a jig (one of sea draggins long ones, forgot the name) No monster 25 lb. but it sure was fun.

Right now I'm jigging with some pretty novice stuff Penn 750 SS and a Trevala XXH, with 80 lb braid. I wanted to make sure I like it before taking the big leap. Well I like it and I think Santa thinks I've been a good boy. We'll see in about a month hoping for a Saltiga 40. If that pans out I'll be here asking for a rod recommendation.

Anyway great day yesterday fishing in general we caught a lot of fish mixed bag, Kings, Albies, AJ, Blacksea Bass, B-Liners.

The next bite on a jig.
    Congrats Ponce.

I have jig that should be newly released in about two weeks which has really done well on the AJ's. They seem to almost act hatefully towards it. I'll make sure Custom Marine has some for the holidays.

I'm sending you a note about the AP's. That can be next on the hit list.

    Cheerio,
    Jim
