    filling reel with braid

Do you guys add tape to the reel arbor before filling? Also do you wet pack the line or just spool it up?

One layer of mono, alrbight to braid, that keeps it from slipping, does the same thing as tape, but I worry about tape leaving residue and or corrosiono n the spool, mono should let it breath a little better and no residual crap left over if you strip the reel.

Tape, load dry but make sure it's tight. Remove and wash after every season.

I wet packed line one year, it was tight as sh*t, but kind of a mess, so I haven't fooled with it again. Just dry and tight
