    i would love to try Jigging grouper (never caught one) where on the east coast would be a GOOD place to CATCH?

    On the Maria jigs, 56 & 48 grs. I don't change the hooks. Both have ok hooks on them. On the sizes smaller than that I do replace the hooks with better ones.

    When we first started jigging my favorite color was the one we started with. since then it's every color we tie on. Stick jigs or the shorter flat ones, it doesn't seem to matter. As far as the Willamson jigs I like the Abyss, the captain orn the other boat likes the benthos, It's all in what you BELIEVE in. A shorter quicker jerk then you would use with a bucktail. Don't forget to take a crank for every jig of the rod, don't raise it above your head.
