Fall buefin run started in Cape Cod

Max, Mark and Yong and myself fished with Capt Dom in Cape Cod on extremely short notice today and we were rewarded with excellent bluefin popping/jigging. I can say long waited bluefin fall run officially started.
I had two bluefin on Dorado Slider floating and one on Doragd Slider sinking and all were lost. Nothing new. Yong had one Ron-Z lure and one on Sevenseas 220g Hooker jig.
Mark had two.One on Sluggo and one on Yozuri Mackerel plug.

We had boiling tuna on the furface for a while and we watched them in awe. I had a nice one on Dorado Slider 180mm floating when I casted boiling tuna, but I lost it as my Accurate SR20 almost got spooled. :?

There were lots of tuna marks on the machine all day. Tough they didn't respond to jigs well today, it is a good sign there are so many tuna in the areas.

Here are pictures which show how Yong, Mark and Max enjoyed today.

Yong's first tuna on a Ron-Z.
The tuna turned out to be 62", but the fish fought very hard.

Yong fighting a bluefin caught on Sevenseas Hooker jig.

releasing tuna

Mark fighting nice tuna in 180 - 200 lbs range caught on Yozuri Mackerel plug.

Max helping Mark.

releasing.

I'm still not use to seeing marks like that in 50ft of water. Nice report guys.

Capt Dom thanks for keepig the fish in the water other than the one you kept. I think these larger BFT need to stay in the water for pictures.
