Max, Mark and Yong and myself fished with Capt Dom in Cape Cod on extremely short notice today and we were rewarded with excellent bluefin popping/jigging. I can say long waited bluefin fall run officially started.![]()
I had two bluefin on Dorado Slider floating and one on Doragd Slider sinking and all were lost. Nothing new.Yong had one Ron-Z lure and one on Sevenseas 220g Hooker jig.
Mark had two.One on Sluggo and one on Yozuri Mackerel plug.
We had boiling tuna on the furface for a while and we watched them in awe. I had a nice one on Dorado Slider 180mm floating when I casted boiling tuna, but I lost it as my Accurate SR20 almost got spooled. :?
There were lots of tuna marks on the machine all day. Tough they didn't respond to jigs well today, it is a good sign there are so many tuna in the areas.
Here are pictures which show how Yong, Mark and Max enjoyed today.
Yong's first tuna on a Ron-Z.
The tuna turned out to be 62", but the fish fought very hard.
