Exploratory GT popping trip to Fiji

I am leaving for GT popping in Fiji tomorrow.
We are going to explore untapped areas where GT never saw poppers while staying on a boat 6 days covering over 100 miles.

Here are popping lures tested for GT on the trip.
I'll post the detailed report and pictures.

50 kg (over 100 lbs) GT caught

Yong landed 50 plus kg (over 100 lbs) GT on his first ever GT catch.
The monster GT caught on Craft Bait GT3/JM 8'6" popping rod/Daiwa Dogfight reel filled with Tuf XP 100 lbs/150 lbs Fisherman's shock leader.

We left Labasa on the northern part of Vanua Levu Island and made a long journey along Great Sea Reef and arrived at Savusavu speding 4 nights and 5 days on the boat. We didn't land many GT on this trip, but we had several GT over 25 kg. My biggest Gt was 35kg -40 kg caught on a prototype lures which I am going to name as Kil'R'Popper.

We arrived at Nadi from Savusavu today and are resting at Sonaisali Resort.
I am going to post detailed report and pictures as we plan to stay at this wonderful resort for two days and this resort has internet access.

35-40kg GT caught on a prototype popper.

I was hoping you would adopt that for something.

I am starting to think Yong is a fish magnet. His name comes up over and over. Nice job Yong.
