    Dolphin jiggin'

How hard is it to jig up some mahi?
Are there any special techniques to follow in order to catch dorado on jig?
Or is it to simply find the school, and rip some lead up through them?

when I worked out west on the Long Range Boats it wasn't hard to limit the boat out by throwing lite surface Irons..Come up on a kelp paddy holding fish and it was game on..Tady and UFO's were a jig of choice I still have a bunch and have had alot of sucess here in NC throwing them. The Jigs that everyone is using today here on the East Coast are to heavy not that you won't catch a Mahi but nowhere near the sucess that a surface Iron will have being squidded across the surface..

The next bite on a jig.
I agree with that. A tipped bucktail has not only accounted for many cobia's, but also dolphins.

Those lite surface Irons are deadly on just about everything, Mahi, Wahoo, Tuna, Sails ect. Pretty cost effective also at Charkbait..

Ive caught several on andamans jigs this season off NC but to be honest if you see a weed line or a school break out some small swimbaits and cast at them just as fun but more deadly

Are surface irons the same as the 544 iron on Charkbait?

surface Irons are alot lighter than verticle type Jigs they have almost a hollow feel..Charkbait sells many diffrent types and I highly reccomend them, there price's are spot on and not over priced at all with quick delivery..And yes the 544 is another good surface iron looking in my bag I have a few of those as well..
