    Diameter of Daiwa Braid?

Does anyone know the diameter of the daiwa boat braid in 100 lb. (PE 8)?

I have been using 80 lb. when using other brands, and the daiwa 80 seems much slimmer. I wanted to compare it to the daiwa 100, but can't seem to locate the diameter.

It came down to momoi and daiwa. The daiwa is much softer and seems to be more round, but the momoi 80 seems to test out stronger than the daiwa. If I can keep the softness of daiwa but also keep maximum strength by going with 100 boat braid, without sacrificing spool space, then thats what I'm going to do. I do a fair amount of bottom fishing with my jigging gear, so my line needs to be slightly stronger than if just jigging upper water column fish.

    Thanks,

When you look at Diawa Boat Braid the # test on the package is it's actual breaking strength or very close to it. I know this may seem a little odd when we're used to let's a say power pro or Tuffline 80# that will most lekely break several lbs higher than recorded. That being said, when looking at Dendoh style Braids you want to focus more on the PE rating, ie PE6 =60lbs normal braid equivalant, PE8 = 80lbs equivalent etc. Hope this helps
